Phones in School Disrupt Attention = Even When They Are Off.
In the book The Anxious Generation, Jonathan Haidt highlights that even the presence of a silenced phone on a desk can reduce a student’s available working memory and cognitive performance by as much as 10%.
Keeping phones out of school helps students stay focused, absorb information, and fully engage in learning.

At Creede School, we’re partnering with our Board and the District Accountability Committee to protect classroom focus and support healthy, engaged learning for every student.
