Tomorrow's game times for the Thunderbird Shootout have changed! The girls will now be playing at 2:40pm and the boys will be playing at 4:20pm.

The Girls’ first game is at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 4th, and the Boys’ first game is at 9:40 a.m. that same day.

NOTICE OF BOARD VACANCY AND REQUEST FOR APPOINTMENTS
The Board of Education of the Creede School District is accepting applications from persons interested in serving on the Board of Education from the date of appointment on December 15, 2025, until the next regular biennial school election in November 2027. To be eligible for appointment, each candidate must be a registered elector of the school district for at least twelve consecutive months prior to the date of appointment.
Any person who meets the qualifications and who desires to be considered for the appointment is invited to file a written notice of such intention with the secretary of the Board of Education by December 11, 2025 by 4:00 p.m. at 450 Corsair Drive, Creede, Colorado or email to jody.fairchild@creedek12.net by the same deadline. Award-winning children's author, Wendi Silvano, will be coming to our school for an author visit on Monday, November 24. She will share some of her books, talk about the writing process, and help students see how they can better tell their own stories.
In connection with her visit, the Mineral County/School Library is purchasing one of Wendi's Turkey books for each student, PK-6th. They will have the opportunity to have their book signed by Wendi on the day of the visit.

Parents are welcome to attend at your student's scheduled time. PreK parents can bring your child, since the ELC will be closed. We ask that you come only at your child’s scheduled time. The event will be held in the lecture hall. If you have any questions please call the school office (719-658-2220) or the library (719-300-1452).

Schedule:
8:15-9:20am: Grades 4,5 and 6
9:30-10:05am: PreK and K
12:15-1:10pm: Grades 1,2 and 3
