From Your School Nurse

Hello CSD Students and Families,

We want to let you know how much we appreciate the large majority of students and families that are following CSD’s COVID protocols, such as mask wearing and morning at-home symptom checks, on a daily basis. These small actions, done each day, contribute significantly to our school’s ability to remain open for in-person instruction. They also reduce the amount of time that staff need to focus specifically on COVID related policies and enforcement, and free us up to do what we do best, educate Creede’s outstanding kids!

Keeping our students and staff in school, in-person, as safely as we possibly can while also offering a high quality educational experience is our number one priority. One thing that families can continue to do each day, is to send your child (K-12) to school wearing a mask. Students need to be wearing a mask as they enter the building and make their way to their classrooms. Students that aren’t wearing masks as they enter the building are potentially jeopardizing the health and safety of other students and staff members.

We have additional masks available at school if a student occasionally forgets their mask, accidentally soils their mask, or their mask breaks. However, our limited mask supply is quickly being depleted by students entering the building without a mask on a daily basis. Please send your child to school wearing a mask, and place an extra in their backpack if possible. If your student(s) needs assistance with cloth masks, please reach out and CSD would be happy to provide you with a 5-pack of free, unused, washable masks.

Thank you very much for your continued support, and for your commitment to helping CSD keep our building open for in-person learning.
